2nd XI crowned Division 8 winners, while 1st XI promotion push set to go to the wire...

A match winning knock of 48 from Sean Hopkins on his 18th birthday helped Heyford CC 2nd XI to a nail biting 20 run victory over Long Buckby 2nd XI. The win secures the Division 8 title, and a second successive league winning season! Congratulations to skipper Rob Pardon, vice-captains Tom and Connor Robson and everyone who has played and contributed to the 2nd XI’s success this season.

Meanwhile, the 1st XI were narrowly beaten in their top of the table clash against a strong Wellingborough Indians team, who relied heavily on an unbeaten century and tight death bowling by their overseas player to get them over the line. Promotion is still possible but the 1st XI need to win their last two games, and hope Wellingborough Indians beat Irchester on the last week of the season.

This weekend is our Patrons and Sponsors Day. The 1st XI are at home to 4th place Wollaston in what is always a competitive fixture. The bar will be open from 3pm, it would be great to have your support.
