Covid-19 arrangements at Heyford CC - information for parents and children

30 Jul 2020 by Heyford CC Admin

We are delighted to welcome you and your children back to Heyford CC for junior cricket!

We have made some simple changes in line with Government and ECB guidance to keep the children, parents / guardians, siblings, coaches and other people using the playing fields as safe as possible. These are described briefly below…

We are required to record all visitors for track and trace purposes. An ‘information point’ table will be near the car park for parents to sign in. Sanitiser and further information will be available here. Please note, ALL visitors to the playing fields need to register here, or at the registration tables that are positioned inside the clubhouse. We will dispose of the registration forms securely after 21 days.

Start times have been staggered to try and reduce queuing and overcrowding in the car park. All Stars Cricket will be starting at 6pm, and U11s at 6:30pm. Please supervise your children prior to the session starting to help maintain social distancing.

A one-way system has been introduced to help with social distancing in the clubhouse. Please enter the clubhouse via the side doors near the tennis courts, and exit via the bar doors or the toilet doors at either end of the clubhouse.

The changing rooms will remain closed as per ECB guidance, but the clubhouse will be open for the toilets and the bar only. In the event of rain please shelter in your car or with an umbrella, and not inside the clubhouse.

If you would like a drink from the bar then please enter the clubhouse following the one-way system. There are markings on the floor to help with social distancing. All drinks will be served in bottles or plastic glasses and must be taken outside. Recycling bins are provided. Unfortunately we will only be accepting card payments .

We would be grateful if children who have their own equipment bring it along (clearly named!), and do not share their equipment with their friends. The Club have enough equipment for the other children to share, and coaches will wipe these items down with sanitising wipes in between users. If your children could bring their own sanitiser for regular hygiene breaks that would be much appreciated.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, IF YOU OR YOUR CHILD HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19 THEN PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE PLAYING FIELDS.

Please follow the Government guidance on social distancing at all times, and thank you for your cooperation. If you have any queries or concerns then please do not hesitate to contact us.
