This weekend it was the turn of the 2nd XI awards. In a short presentation at the ground, we are delighted to confirm our winners:
Left: Connor Robson – All Rounder
Averaging 31.50 with the bat and 7 dismissals behind the stumps. Batsman, keeper, bowling option and part of Captaincy team. Genuine all-round effort.
Right: Benny Cawley – Bowler
14 wickets @ 14.29, with a best of 5-23 (1st Senior 5fer). A pleasure to watch this young man develop.
2nd Left: Oakley Young – Batsman
120 runs @ 40, 1 × 50, and one of the moments of the season. HCC needed 1 to win, Oaks was on 45*… next ball 6
Pictured with outgoing skipper Rob Pardon, who was reminded of ageing years by Benny, who noted ‘you won this trophy the year I was born’. Who then noted he won 4 years before that too! 👨🦳🙈
